L'AMICALE 2026, VIVA THE DOLOMITES!

Our ski touring and splitboarding camp for all, L’Amicale, was back this year: from March 19 to 22, we set down our skis in San Martino di Castrozza, in the Dolomites. With the Olympic buzz behind us, calm and alpine dolce vita had finally returned. And we were even lucky enough to score some beautiful powder snow!

Do it another way

One of the fundamental reasons we created Glacier Optics was to meet people and to bring people together. So we reached out to our friends at Pomoca, a historic Swiss brand, sat down around a table, and created L’Amicale together.

With this second edition, set in the heart of the Italian Alps, we wanted once again to reconnect with the real: creating spaces designed for connection: to gather, to meet, to share. This has been part of our brand’s DNA since day one.

Beyond the safety training, L’Amicale was also an opportunity to share convivial moments, especially in the lounge of Hotel Regina, run by our friend Carla.

Non prendersi troppo sul serio!

Guided by our friend Eric Girardini and a team of local mountain guides, participants explored the incredible playground of the Dolomites in complete safety. Thanks to excellent snow conditions, some even ventured into their first steep turns, while others experienced their first rappel.

The balance is there: a safe framework with trained guides, yet a relaxed atmosphere. The mountains deserve to be taken seriously, without taking ourselves too seriously. Far from being just another event reserved for professionals, L’Amicale is open to anyone who loves the mountains: from ski touring beginners to hardcore mountaineers, everyone is welcome.

Lots of friends on powder days!

In many ways, L’Amicale is the opposite of ‘no friends on a powder day.’ Because the mountains are meant to be shared. And because our Alps are plural: shaped by different languages, cultures, and approaches.

We’re already looking forward to the next gathering, somewhere in our beautiful mountains.

Until then, we wish you some great spring outings.
